Framing
The Steam Frame was actually announced in the end!
I talked about this in the last post. I ended up placing an order on it, but unfortunately I didn’t get shortlisted for it. It’s expensive, sure, but it honestly still costs less than I had expected. It gets compared a lot to the Quest headsets, which is understandable, but I do feel like there’s more to it. The fact that it’s a whole Linux PC on your face is a very interesting selling point. We have an actual standalone headset that isn’t locked down at all in the software and you can do anything with it. It makes me excited to see what people will do with it. I hope people can figure out proper eye tracking though, as it seems the eye camera feed may not be all that accessible right now. We’ll have to see how that goes.

The Time Is Now
I finally have a bit of free time for the next couple weeks. I want to work on my website a bit more. I found out that Discord has added some special embed features. I don’t know how that works yet, but I’ll need to look into it. I’ve been meaning to do a general refresh of my main website for some time now so I might actually work on that over the coming week.
