Hi chat. I guess I still am posting on here less frequently than a couple months ago. I guess that semi-daily streak ran out a while ago. But here I am again. Busy as usual.
Here’s some things I’ve been up to… and some plans.
GMTK 2026
The GMTK Game Jam 2026 is almost here! Last year I worked on Twilight Dream, a surreal looping missile chase. I want this year to be quite chill. Many previous years were spent with me using up almost all of my free time on my jaem. It’s tiring, and maybe this time I can chill more. I don’t really have anything in mind at the moment.
It’s looking like it will be a 2-person project this year, kinda small team compared to recent years. But I’ve worked on solo projects before, and I don’t mind that. I just hope we can come up with a decent idea, that’s always the most difficult part.
In previous years, I streamed a chunk of the development process. This year, because I want it to be more chill, I may not stream it much or at all. I’m thinking I may have a few stream session as updates but will probably steer away from the lengthy coding streams of previous years.
I’ve been writing this one note so long, the jam’s gonna start soon whew.
Gaming
Here’s some of my recent gaming thoughts…
Palworld
Palworld 1.0 launched recently. I’ve been playing it on a server with a few people. It’s a lot of fun. Last time I played it was around the early access launch. I’ve only seen a few of the major updates since then so I’m honestly not sure when each thing was added.
The server I’m playing on has increased progression and spawn rates so progression does feel a bit overwhelming. I’m very overleveled for the bosses I’m taking on. I constantly have something to do and I’m under progressed everywhere, it’s difficult to balance upgrading the base, exploring, catching stronger pals, fighting bosses, etc etc…

I’ve started writing this post a few days ago. I’ve been tired and busy, and now today I installed Linux again.
